How long will it take for me to get the results of my procedure/imaging?
JRA Radiologists read patient studies within 24 hours. The report is dictated, transcribed, and sent to the referring physician via fax. Your physician will contact you with your test results.

Is there anything I need to do prior to the exam/xray/procedure?
Some Radiology procedures require special preparation. Your referring Physician's office should give you instructions to follow. If you need additional information, please contact the Receptionist at 541-7850 for JMCGH exams and 8541-8854 for West TN Imaging Center exams.

Will my procedure hurt?
Our goal is to provide excellence in imaging and intervention in a caring, compassionate manner. We strive to make our patients at ease and comfortable before, during, and after the exam. Some studies are painfree, while other interventional studies may require an injection or small incision. For specific information, please contact the Receptionist at 541-7850 for JMCGH exams and 541-8854 for West TN Imaging Center exams.

How long will my exam/xray/procedure take?
Most Radiology studies can be performed with 45 minutes of commencement. Some more involved examinations require longer times. We'll do our best to efficiently and effectively perform your study. For more information, please contact the Receptionist at 541-7850 for JMCGH exams and 541-8854 for West TN Imaging Center exams.

Who do I contact if I have questions about the exam/xray/procedure?
Contact .... If you are scheduled to have a test performed at the West Tennessee Imaging Center and have questions, please call 731-541-8850.
For questions regarding tests scheduled at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, call 731-541- 7850.
If you are scheduled for a consultation with a physician, or a follow-up appointment after your procedure, please call Kimba Anthony at 731-541-8854.

What is Contrast Media? Will I need an injection?
Contrast media (agent) is a liquid that's injected into a vein to help the Radiologist identify vessels and/or disease processes.

What is a Patient Consult and why do I need one?
Some Radiology procedures, especially Vascular Interventional studies, require a patient consult. A Patient Consult is a special time that you will spend one-on-one with the physician, who will interview you about your medical history, health, and symptoms. During this time, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn what to expect about the study.

  • From Interstate 40 West:
    Exit 79, end of ramp, turn LEFT (East) on US-412 [SR-20]
    Keep straight onto Hollywood Drive. Turn LEFT (east) onto West Forest Avenue. Straight ~ 1 mile. Follow signs to Emergency Room (on the left). Outpatient Parking Garage. Go to level 1, exit the garage, enter Outpatient Registration. Follow signs to "Radiology Waiting." Check in at desk.
  • From 45-Bypass
    Follow 45-Bypass to Hollywood Drive exit. At end of ramp, turn LEFT (East). Follow Hollywood Drive to West Forest Avenue. Straight ~ 1 mile. Follow signs to Emergency Room (on the left). Outpatient Parking Garage. Go to level 1, exit the garage, enter Outpatient Registration. Follow signs to "Radiology Waiting." Check in at desk.

  • From Interstate 40 West:

Go to stop sign (Skyline Drive) and turn RIGHT. Look for blue and white Imaging Center sign on left side of road. Park in any parking area. Check in at desk.
  • From 45-Bypass
    Follow 45-Bypass to Hollywood Drive exit. At end of ramp, turn LEFT (East). Follow Hollywood Drive to West Forest Avenue. Straight ~ 1 mile. Follow signs to Summar Road. Turn LEFT. Go to stop sign (Skyline Drive) and turn RIGHT. Look for blue and white Imaging Center sign on left side of road. Park in any parking area. Check in at desk.
